Recently, Cyrene Lodge #325 in Clarion made a $6000 to Kids Korner Daycare Center. Lodge Secretary Chad Chapman explained the story behind the donation. “Sadly, in July of 2019, our, Brother Merle Poulson, passed away, and he must have been looking out for Cyrene Lodge long before that. After the passing of Mr. Poulson, the Brothers of Cyrene Lodge #325 in Clarion were notified that we were a beneficiary of his passing. We had discussed how we were going to handle the funds, and it was decided that we would donate it to a few different groups throughout Clarion. It took on the name of the Merle Poulson Masonic Charity Fund. Kids Korner fills a strong need in our community. We felt that helping children would be a great investment and money well spent.” Kids Korner Board President, Tony Miller, added, “Kids Korner appreciates the assistance and generosity that the Cyrene Lodge has shown.
