In a meet last Friday at Iowa Falls, the Cowgirls lost to the Cadets but defeated Webster City in a tri-meet. Team scores showed the Cadets at a 200 total, with the Cowgirls at 213 and the Lynx at 216.
Counting cards were turned in by Emily Christensen and Karina Torres at 52 each, Tessa Warnke at 53 and Nicole Waters at 56. Other rounds were played by Delia Swanson (60) and Lauren Brooks (68).
“After two weeks of no meets, this turned out to be our best team score of the year,” stated head coach Denny March. “We went 35 strokes lower, but it was still not enough to beat the home Cadets.”
On April 20, they lost to Humboldt 211-248. Counters were Waters at 56, Christensen at 63, Torres at 64 and Brooks at 65. Warnke shot a 67 and Swanson a 68 for the varsity.
