To All Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Parents and Our Community:
Wright County Public Health has relaxed its county-wide mask mandate, but the quarantine rule still applies when unmasked students are in school. Meaning one positive case in a classroom of unmasked students could result in a quarantine for everyone in the room. At this time and running through the end of the school year, face coverings (masks) will remain mandatory in all Wright County public schools.
Our students, teachers, and employees have worked diligently to keep students in school every day this year. It’s also no surprise that COVID mitigation rules and strategies create discussion and opinions all across the board. To that end, let’s continue to make the last 25 days of school about our kids and giving them the best ending to a school year that we can provide. I’m so proud of our students and how they’ve handled everything we’ve asked them to do. As the “new guy in town” I want to personally thank our parents for the work they’ve done this year with our students. Your support shows in the daily respect we all enjoy and receive from your children. We are a district filled with incredible kids and that starts at home.
Thank you in advance for your continued grace, cooperation, and compliance. The safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our top priority.
Sincerely,
Joseph Nelson
Superintendent of Schools
