Cross country heads to Eagle Grove

Last Tuesday, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cross Country team traveled down the road to the Dick Bell Invitational in Eagle Grove.

In the girls field, Gilbert High School came out on top in the team standings, followed by Garner-Hayfield-Ventura and Humboldt. Emalyn Nel was the top finisher for the CGD girls in 35th with a time of 28:52.24. Next was Mikayla Pulido taking 38th at 29:52.24, followed by Natasha Johnson (40th) at 30:49.14 and Lauren Hansch (42th) at 34:43.53.

On the boys’ side, Gilbert also took top honors. CGD runners were led off by Jacob Ingebritson in 26th place with a time of 20:21.85. In 34th was Christopher Greenfield with a time 20:58.39. In 44th, Thomas Klaver- 22:12.89. In 46th, Luke Brownell clocking 22:31.92. Nick Carpenter in 47th at 22:35.92. Ethan Boots took 50th with 23:53.86, followed by Tate Jackson in 51st with a time of 24:16.03.
