It is that time of the year to think about those less fortunate. The Holmes Christmas Club gears up for another year of doing just that, and more.
Due to COVID-19, we were unable to hold our annual auction last year. The committee would like to thank those individuals or businesses that did make a donation of either items or monetary contributions for last year's auction. Those items will be on this year's auction. Any contribution this year will be appreciated.
The group will hold their annual auction this year at The Red Shed Event Center in Clarion at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021.
The Holmes Christmas Club gave Chamber Bucks certificates from each chamber in Wright County, instead of fruit baskets. They felt giving the chamber certificates was a way to give back to the merchants that support the Holmes Christmas Club. They will continue with this tradition again this year.
One hundred percent of the funds collected will go to help people and other causes in Wright County. The board, with the help of volunteers throughout the county, organize and help carry out all of these good deeds. It is expected that the need will be just as great this year as previous years, so any donations, of either auction items or monetary contributions, will be very much appreciated.
They are unable to accept used items this year due to COVID-19.
Anyone interested in making a donation may call for pickup or drop off at the Red Shed the day of: Nick Barrett, 515-532-2727; Beth Menges, 515-851-1463; Shelley Pohlman, 515-851-2617; Spook Anderson, 515-532-6565; Lisa Kluss, 515-851-0063; Dean Kluss, 515-835-0502; Tanya Bierl, 515-293-2968; Darren Bierl, 515-293-0481; Kathy Braun-Dows, 515-238-7614; Bobbi Tyrrell-Belmond, 515-571-0147; Cec Peddicord-Belmond, 515-302-3025; Vicki Boyington-Eagle Grove, 515-570-2420.
