The girls put together some strong individual performances. Both of these Cowgirls had a great day. Beisel also took home two more first place medals. One in the 400m hurdles (1:12.78) and one in the high jump (5-2.00). In other scoring finishes: Conlon (13.52) came in third in the 100m dash. Harley Charlson (2:41.55) earned a sixth place in the 800m run. Hasty took seventh in the 400m hurdles (1:16.78). Ellie Mewes earned a point for the team by coming in eighth in discus with a throw of 80-09.

“I thought the girls ran pretty well,” said Coach Monty Harker. “We were not 100% healthy so we had to give up a couple of our relay events and put in different people but a lot of them stepped up. It was a very good race in 100 hurdles for both Kennedy and MaKayla. And they both also performed very well in their field events. It's hard to score points when you only have nine people running and when a few get hurt, relays kind of go out the window. So I just hope we get healthy before next week. They are also excited about it.”
