For the second year, the CGD Elementary School Talented and Gifted students did something very fun for a worthwhile cause. They collected cereal for the local food pantry. But they didn’t just collect it and drop it off at the pantry. First, they used the boxes for a giant domino game! The group decided to continue this effort that was started last year as part of a social media challenge. Last year they collected over 700 boxes. This year, it was over 360 boxes collected with Mrs. Hoffman’s kindergarten class collecting the most. Before the cereal was dropped off at the food pantry, all the boxes were lined up in the school gym like dominoes and then the whole school watched them all fall. Photos by Bridget Shileny
