The CGD Speech Program had a strong showing at the District Speech competition in Clear Lake.
Competing in the Poetry competition, Mady Hennigar scored a 1, and Lauren Hansch scored a 2. Competing in Storytelling, Donna Martinez scored a 2. And competing in the Literary Program MaKayla Beisel scored a 1, and scored another 1 in the Original Oratory competition.
Such strong results meant that all four were recognized, with Beisel and Hennigar qualifying for the State Speech competition, and Martinez and Hansch both earning District Runner-up status.
