Goldfield’s Going Ons

The United Presbyterian Church of Goldfield hosted vacation bible school August 7th and 8th. Preschool through fifth grade were welcomed. The place of worship not only provided entertainment for children but also raised money for Lazy J Rescue Ranch, a local non profit animal rescue. The children were offered lunch to go along with crafts, stories, games and music entertainment.

Bible school is not the only thing Goldfield has going on. Local gardeners and vendors are selling fresh produce, baked goods, and other items during the weekly farmers market. Stop at Fletcher’s Gardens on Calhoun Ave every Wednesday night, 4-6 p.m. to get something fresh in your kitchen!
Lazy J Rescue Ranch is hosting an unforgettable “popcorn party with the animals” August 21st at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person with those 2 and under free. Join the rescued animals who call Lazy J their fuuurever home at 1078 230th ST, Goldfield Iowa.
