Nancy Plendl led an adult craft at the Dows Public Library. Attendees, Marlo Watt, Jo Carlton, Regina Russell, Donna Bouillon, and Judy Gorder learned how to make paper roses to celebrate Valentine’s Day.Some studies state that origami, the art Dows library patrons took part in, was invented by the Japanese a few thousand years ago. It is believed that the first hobby folding was applied to cloth.

“We had a great time learning how to make a rose by folding and gluing paper,” Library Director Deb Olson shared of the experience.
