Beisel Defends High Jump Title At NCC Meet

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls track athletes competed for North Central Conference glory last Thursday night in Hampton. 

 

Junior MaKayla Biesel won the high jump for the third consecutive year with a leap of 5’0”. Teammate Adelynn Howell took bronze in the same event with a jump of 4’8”. 

 

Beisel also brought home 4th place in the long jump with an attempt of 14’11” and 3rd place in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 17.17.

 

Kennedy Jackson sprinted the 200 in 29.91 seconds for 9th place. 

 

In the relay events, Aleena Schaffer, Kennedy Jackson, Adelynn Howell, and Neveah Liem took 5th place in the 4×200 with a time of 2:01. Schaffer, Liem, Howell, and Kennedy Hoesing finished the sprint medley in 2:14 for 7th place.

 

The distance medley team of Liem, Rosa Matul, Hoesing, and Harley Charlson ran a time of 5:14 for 7th place.

 

The Cowgirls will look to qualify runners, jumpers, and throwers for state on May 9th in Dike-New Hartford.
