Community leader and local businessman Rick Rasmussen has announced that he will run for re-election as Wright County Supervisor in District 1.
"We’ve worked hard to make improvements and foster economic growth. I believe we need strong leadership to continue on that path,” said Rasmussen. “I will continue to work for progress that benefits Wright County and its citizens.”
Rasmussen has served as supervisor for the past 8 years, including acting as the chairman for part of that time. His involvement in local politics goes back several years even before his election to the supervisors, which included time serving as the mayor of Goldfield.
As a supervisor, Rasmussen prides himself in consistently working to help his constituents. He is always willing to take a phone call from citizens and listen to concerns. If elected for another term, his dedication to this effort will continue.
Rasmussen has deep ties to Wright County, as a native to the area. He and his wife live in Goldfield. He owns and operates Oaks Garden Spot & Rasmussen Lawn Care in Clarion and serves on several boards in the area.
