Cowboy fans in attendance at last Thursday’s road baseball game vs. Southeast Valley witnessed a once in a lifetime pitching performance from ace Carson Nesheim. The senior threw 82 pitches and only 19 balls on his way to a perfect game against the host Jaguars.
Coach Ryan Nail said he’s seen firsthand the dedication Nesheim has shown to become the pitcher he is today.
“Carson has made huge strides as a pitcher for our program since his sophomore year,” commented Nail. “His velocity has increased immensely, but his consistency in the strike zone is what helps him find success.”
Nesheim struck out 16 of the 21 hitters he faced, and even helped out his own cause with a double, a single, and three RBI’s in the 4-0 victory.
“Who knows when we will ever see it again,” remarked Coach Nail. “It was truly an incredible night that Carson and everyone who was involved will never forget.”
