In my previous installment, I wrote about my 1968 Convertible Camaro that was totaled out in the 2018 flood in Des Moines. I\u2019d like to tell one more story involving my \u201cnew\u201d 1967 Camaro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In traveling to car shows, you never know what is waiting around the bend. Whether it\u2019s a pheasant popping up out of a ditch or a rock from a dump truck ahead of you, it\u2019s always a gamble driving our precious show cars.<\/span><\/p>\n

I had hoped that with the 1967 Camaro, my luck would change but that was not the case. One of the first things I did with this car was to get a new paint job to make sure it was show-worthy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Since I am always very careful driving my car around town, watching out for other cars, kids, and bikes that might run into me, you can imagine my devastation, when showing off my new paint job cruising the four-lane in Clarion, two black labs dashed out into the road running right into the side of my car.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The dogs were fine but the car suffered a dent to the front fender. To fix the dent, the front part of the car needed to be repainted. My first reaction was to sell the car and get a Prius\u2026 but I came to my senses and had it repaired so I could continue going to car shows and enjoying my car.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
