On Friday, April 24, the Eagle Grove boys track and field team competed in the Poky Relays at Pocahontas.

Leelan Spencer was Eagle Grove’s top placer. He flew to a personal best time of 11.33 for silver in the 100-meter dash. Storm Lake’s Garbieno Weno was meet champ in a time of 11.06.
Spencer also placed second in the 100 at Webster City’s Lynx Invitational on April 21.

Junior Arturo Reyna-Salazar cruised to third in the 110-meter hurdles after clocking a personal best time of 18.15, and freshman Keegan Eisentrager brought home bronze in the long jump with a leap of 18’6 ¾”.
The Eagles placed fifth in Class A with 63 team points. Storm Lake (177), Humboldt (158.5), Webster City (112), and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows were also in the top-five.
