DES MOINES – On April 27, hundreds of Iowa students were honored at the 2025 Governor’s Scholar Recognition Ceremony. Since 2003, the Governor’s Office, Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Farm Bureau have named the highest academic achievers of every school’s senior class. Chosen students received a plaque and certificate commemorating their achievement and an opportunity for a handshake and photo with the governor.
Recognized students include:

- Kimberly Clarahan, Keota
- Raegan Molyneux, Tri-County
- Sarah Hamilton, Pekin
- Gage Heyne, English Valleys
