Karla Herman, 69, died May 12, 2025, at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born June 1, 1955, in Ottumwa to Elmer Gerhard and Cecilia Anna Wehr Herman.
She attended St. Elizabeth Catholic School in Harper, Iowa and graduated from English Valleys High School in North English and later attended Indian Hills Community College she received her LPN degree. Karla was an LPN and a nursing assistant at the Keokuk County Health Center and had worked at several nursing homes. She moved to Sigourney with her parents in 1993, to help care for them. Karla loved animals, she enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sister Marjorie (Randy) Bickford of Bettendorf, one nephew Andy (Melissa) Bickford and niece Jessica Dietz.
Memorial maybe directed to St. Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral Service: Saturday May 17, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney.
Visitation One Hour before service.
Burial: St. Elizabeth Cemetery Harper.
