PACKWOOD – On Dec. 17, the Pekin Parent Teacher Organization provided all of the school’s students with Pekin t-shirts. “This was an initiative from PTO to make sure that all of our students and staff had a Pekin Panther t-shirt, and so we partnered with area businesses to make sure the kids had a shirt before Christmas,” said PTO co-president Sarah Deutsch.
“We just wanted to make sure every student had a little Christmas gift from our Pekin Community,” said vice president Gretchen Adam.
Earlier in the month, the PTO held a Santa’s workshop for students to shop. They plan to hold a school carnival in the spring.
