TIFFIN – The Southeast Iowa Large Group State Contest was held at Clear Creek Amana High School on Feb. 7. Groups that received I ratings at the District Contest performed again, this time in front of three judges. At state, groups that receive a I rating from at least two judges, as well as a recommendation from at least two judges, are eligible for the All-State Festival, which will be held at Iowa State University on Feb. 21.
The Keota Readers Theatre “How Angel Peterson Got His Name” received heavy praise from the judges and was selected to perform at the All-State Festival. The Keota One-Act Play “Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon”, Keota Galindo/Greiner/McGuire Group Improv team, and the Tri-County TV Broadcast “KGAD” also received non-performing All-State honors.
