Alice J. Greiner, 86

KEOTA—Alice J. Greiner, age 86, of Keota, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Briarwood Healthcare Center in Iowa City.
Alice was born August 1, 1939, in Sigourney, the daughter of Raymond “John” and Thelmae (Priest) Martin.  She graduated from Sigourney High School and attended Wartburg College in Waverly.  On December 4, 1965, she married John “Alex” Greiner at the Sigourney Christian Church.  They lived and farmed in the Keota area following marriage.  Alice was an active member of the United Church of Faith, where she helped with Kid’s Club and other church activities.  She enjoyed her bridge club, gardening, antiquing and going on walks.
Survivors include three sons: Brian (Kristina) Greiner of Coralville, Jason (Andrea) Greiner of North Liberty and Chad (Angela Pickren) Greiner of Riverview, Florida; four grandchldren: Alexandra Greiner, Charles Greiner, John Greiner and Nicholas Greiner; two brothers: Gerald Martin and Donald Martin; two sisters: Pat Steinhart and Martha (Gary) Weber; brother-in-law: Ed Hubbell and sister-in-law: Holly Martin.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2001; two brothers: Charles and Jerry Martin; sister: Sara Hubbell; brother-in-law: Duane Steinhart and sister-in-law: Janet Martin.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the United Church of Faith in Keota, with Pastor Brandi Meyer officiating.  Burial will be at Keota Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota.
