Nicolas Determann is poised to become the newest member of the Forest City City Council, after leading with 93 votes in the unofficial results for the Tuesday, Mar. 13 special election for an at-large seat.
Determann received 56.02% of the vote, followed by Richard William Sahr with 52 votes (31.33%) and Barbara Ruiter with 21 votes (12.65%).
“I’m incredibly grateful for the support shown in Tuesday’s special election for the Forest City Council At-Large seat,” said Determann “While the results remain unofficial pending canvass, I want to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to vote, offer encouragement, share kind words, and support me throughout this process. I’m truly humbled by the trust so many in our community have placed in me. I also want to recognize and thank Richard Sahr and Barbara Ruiter for stepping forward and being willing to serve Forest City.”
If the results are confirmed, Determann says he looks forward to “serving our community, listening to residents, and working together to continue making Forest City a great place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m honored and deeply grateful for the opportunity,” said Determann.
